Getting married was never really on my radar until that is, I was asked. I never thought I would get into it all as much as I did but I found planning my own wedding thrilling and challenging, especially the stationery.
As a digital designer by trait I was a bit of a novice with paper and print but as a lover of crafts, I was in my element. The fun and passion I experienced along my wedding journey was the catalyst for the beginning of PS Weddings. Friends and family were so complimentary about my stationery and decor that I thought I had to find a way to make this my day to day and PS Weddings was born.
The name PS Weddings came about because when planning a wedding, stationery and decor aren’t always seen as the big ticket items like the venue, the dress and the photographer. So ‘PS’ is a reminder that stationery is important too, after all it’s the first glimpse into your wedding for your guests, why not make their reaction: ‘WOW’.
I wanted the brand for PS Weddings to be soft and inviting so I opted for a colour palette of pastel pinks, greys and white along with a handwritten font. The handwritten font used in the logo makes it feel personal, this reflects the relationship and service I provide to my couples.
I absolutely love working full time on PS Weddings, it really is the best decision I’ve made. The briefs I receive from my couples are so exciting and together we make some truly beautiful and interesting creations.
